- Requesting review: Use
{{LicenseReview}}without parameters on file description pages to request license review. License review should be requested when uploading files from websites with notices stating that the content is published under a free license. The purpose of license review is to ensure that the validity of the licensing information is documented, which is useful in the event that the source site subsequently changes or disappears. - Reviewing: If you are an administrator or trusted license reviewer, use this template with all parameters set to document that you have verified that the licensing information provided for a file uploaded to Commons by another user matches the information on the source site. (Do not use this template to indicate a failed license review. Instead, mark the file using the "nominate for deletion", "no permission" or "report a copyright violation" links in the sidebar.) Do not use this template with parameters set if you are not an administrator or trusted license reviewer.
