About me
I am a French Canadian from the province of Québec. I have studied in journalism radio, communications, French literature, sommelier studies. Originally from a village in the Laurentides, I now live in Montreal. I work in the family business located in the Lower Laurentians and we create software.
I have always volunteered in organizations, especially in recent years at the Maison des Grands-Parents de Villeray. Before, I was a social worker in my village for the young people who were in difficulty, and I organized all kinds of activities to animate the citizens.
The first years of my adult life I was a backpacker, I crossed Canada several times and visited a dozen countries by hitchhicking. It opened my mind to different cultures, I became curious, patient, with a solid mind... I'm interested in languages, architecture, gastronomy and all sorts of other things that young man discovers by seeing the world!
Involvement in Wikimedia projects

I discovered Wikipedia in 2003 during a search of recyclable materials for a university course. First I corrected a mistake, then having more material accumulated for my research that Wikipedia had, I timidly started to complete related articles for recycling. Since that time, I did not spend a single day without Wikipedia, a love story!
In 2011, with other contributors, I co-founded the national chapter Wikimedia Canada and I am elected project manager. The following year, I co-founded the Comité Québec, a local working group that is particularly active in French Wikipedia. The francophonie is interested in our activities and a natural collaboration begins, notably during the project of the World Forum of the French language where Wikimedia France and Wikimedia Canada had a kiosk.
In 2012, I am elected administrator of Commons and in 2013, I am elected administrator of Wikipedia in French. I also participate in Wikidata, Wikisource and Wiktionary.
In 2013 at Wikimania Hong Kong, interested in what Latin Americans do with Iberocoop, I founded WikiFranca on the same principle, a collaboration between the Francophone chapters and I am elected coordinator.
In 2016, I was elected president of Wikimedia Canada.
Some of my projects
As I always liked to organize events and activities I immediately started! Here are some projects I have organized: Wikipedia prend Montréal, Wikipédia prend Québec, Wiki Loves Monuments, Journées contributives, Mois de la contribution au Canada, Mois international de la contribution francophone, Journées WikiPhys, présentation au Congrès de l'Association des communicateurs scientifiques du Québec, Art et féminisme, Mardi, c'est Wiki à BAnQ, Projet Conrad Poirier, Projet Champlain Marcil, Projet Félix Barrière.
I also participated in several gatherings of Wikimedians: GLAMcamp NYC, GLAMcamp Amsterdam, GLAMcamp Wahsington, Wikimania 2012 Washington, Wikimania 2013 Hong Kong, Wikimedia Conference 2013 Milan, Wikimania 2014 Londres, Wikimedia Conference 2014 Berlin, Wikimania 2015 México, Wikimedia Conference 2015 Berlin, Wikimania 2016 Esino Lario, Wikimedia Conference 2016 Berlin, Wikimania 2017 Montréal.
