Thanks[edit]

Thanks for bringing those copyright violations I uploaded to my attention, I've nominates them all for deletion now as they are all in fact derivative works ans I highly doubt that any of them are old enough to be in the public domain. Have a nice day. --Donald Trung 『徵國單』 (No Fake News 💬) (WikiProject Numismatics 💴) (Articles 📚) 19:43, 19 June 2018 (UTC)

Erik Nussbicker[edit]

Hi BevinKacon, I've reverted/removed your speedy-tags of the "Erik Nussbicker"-images, not because they might be wrong, but because the regular DR is still ongoing and as they don't seem to be blatant copyvios. --Túrelio (talk) 09:23, 24 June 2018 (UTC)

File:Palmyra Syria.png[edit]

Thank you for your message. I'm always checking and citing the sources of images before uploading them to commons, so I wanted to check how it could happen, that an image was violating any rights. So I can learn how to avoid this mistake if it happened. But I'm not able to see my uploading edit anymore. Is there a way to find my cited sources, that means, to make my uploading edit visible for me? Greeting,--Anglo-Araneophilus~commonswiki (talk) 10:52, 6 July 2018 (UTC)

File:Patel Gamer 1.png[edit]

Good spot on this copyright violation. I´ve found more proof to it and added on this image page as the following commentary, "Also, flickr uploader admits that "pictures were randomly found on the net, they were not taken by me", to take any doubts that might appeared, like mine as i always thought that this image was a self made work. File:MinotaurOnGoblinSword.png and File:ShadowTempleOnGoblinSword.png[edit]

Hello.

KevinBacon, I am writing to you because you've deleted two of the images that I've uploaded for an article on Wikipedia named Goblin Sword. I apologise for uploading copyrighted material. I did not realise that even a screenshot of the game would be under copyright, regardless of my knowledge about copyright laws.

Thank you CrayonS (talk) 11:52, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

File:Photoshop-screenshot.JPG[edit]

Please do not revert the deletion request template any more. Converting speedy deletions into regular DRs is now a valid form of objection to speedy deletion per a discussion at the admins' noticeboard. Please feel free to comment at Commons:Deletion requests/File:Photoshop-screenshot.JPG though. De728631 (talk) 21:29, 13 July 2018 (UTC)

File:Alyssa Sutherland.jpg[edit]

Hi. I uploaded the file, but i'm not the author. As you say me, i must provide "from or who created it". That's what i did.... If you go to: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Alyssa_Sutherland.jpg , you can find de source (http://vikings.wikia.com/wiki/File:Alyssa_Sutherland.jpg). Following the link, you'll see a tab called "File History". There you will see the author. I would like to link directly, but i can't get the url ... Thanks --Astur (talk) 11:34, 27 July 2018 (UTC)

Images[edit]

I don't understand this site, if I put the image, said that I'm violating even with the exact descriptions. Many wikis warned me that before putting any image must enter a description where you found this image to have no problems and I am doing this. Sincerely I don't know what to do. Oh, it was tagged because the meta data says all rights reserved and the author doesn't match the source.--BevinKacon (talk) 18:46, 29 July 2018 (UTC)

Nominating PD-text tweets[edit]

Stop nominating PD-text tweets for deletion. Just stop it. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 04:48, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

@Alexis Jazz: The onus isn't on me to edit and upload replacements to make it compliant with Commons policies. With the screenshots containing Twitter profile photographs, you can either revert yourself, or remove the photographs. Adding Template:Non-free frame revdel should get the old versions deleted too.
The majority are of questionable scope, so would likely only delay their deletion anyway.--BevinKacon (talk) 18:53, 23 August 2018 (UTC)
You don't (yet) understand the scope of Commons. It goes beyond Wikipedia. As I said in the edit notice: "PD-text, if you disagree, nominate". I didn't say "PD-text, if you disagree, go to edit war with me and see who will win". Because of that, I will roll back those "dw no source since" speedy deletion tags. You could nominate if you must, but it's a bad idea. It would be much wiser to start a discussion about such tweets in general to get consensus on the subject. - Alexis Jazz ping plz 14:52, 27 August 2018 (UTC)
Nothing to do with scope, the screenshots contain a photo, of which no source \ licensing information has been provided. Pretty straight forward. Unlikely a DR would overrule core policies.--BevinKacon (talk) 19:35, 27 August 2018 (UTC)

Deletion of File:Abiyahmed.jpg[edit]

Hello BevinKacon, I noticed that I was given a final warning from you because the images I uploaded are considered not a work of mine. I sincerely apologize for uploading such material. I did not know about the CC licensing rules and that a cropped picture taken from a copyrighted picture would be under copyright protection. I apologize for any inconvinience. Thanks

Cat Stevens and 2959 others[edit]

Dear BevinKacon, You added a tag ("missing evidence of permission") with 3 photographs of Cat Stevens from Beeld & Geluid Wiki (the Netherlands). These files are not missing evidence of permission. They form part of a collection of thousands of photographs made available by Beeld & Geluid (Hilversum) in collaboration with Wikimedia Commons. See the Commons page made by User:85jesse (working at Beeld & Geluid) in case of doubt. At present the Category:Media from Beeld en Geluid Wiki holds 2962 images, used 7682 times on Wiki. Please remove the 3 tags or start deletion requests. Vysotsky (talk) 19:03, 29 August 2018 (UTC)
