unbekannterweise aus Österreich. Ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle einmal dafür bedanken, was du mit der Verwaltung der QI zustandegebracht hast. Ein ganz wichtiger Bereich von Commons, ist er doch eine gute Möglichkeit, Commons über das Ablegen von Bildern hinaus auch noch eine Wertigkeit für einen Teil der Bilder herauszustreichen. Für uns in Österreich, wo über WMAT sehr viel Anstrengung unternommen wird, nicht nur viele Bilder zu schaffen sondern auch viele Teilnehmer in diese Prozesse einzubinden, ist es ein gutes Werkzeug, welches wir noch verstärkt fördern wollen. Category:Media needing category review as of 30 December 2015[edit]

Hmm, good question Stefan2 . The bot picked up its work the next day. Sometimes there are intermittent failures on tool labs. The bot runs once a day. If labs is having problems at that time it apparently misses its run. --Dschwen (talk) 16:58, 2 January 2016 (UTC)

Problem mit einer Nominierung[edit]

Curation of {{LargeImage}}[edit]

Hi Dschwen... your bot seems to no longer perform {{LargeImage}} template removals from small files (e.g. File:Johann_Strauss_II_by_Fritz_Luckhardt.jpg). I only checked about 3 weeks of the bot's edits, though. Is this intentional? Apparently the User:Rillke/bigChunkedUpload.js (edited: this appears to be related to Gallica actually) automatically adds {{LargeImage}}, and some people use it for all their uploads. Hallo Daniel, könntest du bitte mal prüfen, warum dein Bot sich dazu entschlossen hat, File:ITA Firenze Basilica di Santa Croce 2.jpg vorzeitig zu promoten? Die Diskussion war noch keine drei Tage alt, der letzte Beitrag gerade ein paar Stunden her, und es stand 3:3 (siehe Commons:Quality_images_candidates/Archives_March_22_2016 ganz unten). Hallo, mein bot entschliesst sich eigentlich zu gar nichts, der hat naemlich keinen eigenen Willen, und befolgt nur Befehle, die ihm Commons user geben :-). Hier war es z.B. Hubertl (talk · contribs) in diesem edit, in dem er den Status fuer das Bild auf promote getsetzt hat. --Dschwen (talk) 19:10, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
@Tkarcher: Das Bild stand 10 Tage in der Diskussion. Dass ich auf Promotion gestellt habe war ein Fehler von mir, ich hätte von Discuss auf Nomination stellen müssen, nicht Promotion. Ich habe das aber einen Tag darauf repariert. Sonst hätte der Bot ja nix getan. Wenn 6 Tage nach der letzten Stimmentscheidung das Consensual Review beendet wird (ob von mir oder von jemanden anderen), ist das mehr als regelkonform. Diskussionsbeiträge sind natürlich möglich, aber können die Entscheidung sicher dann nicht aufschieben, wenn dieser letzte Beitrag vom Nominator kommt - der ja auch bereits 5 Tage alt war. Ich habe es dir bereits (erinnerlich) auf deiner Disku geschrieben. Die Entscheidung ist übrigens neutral, weder gibt es eine Ablehnung noch die Unterstützung für das Bild. Das bedeutet, du kannst es zu einem anderen Zeitpunkt wieder nominieren. Bitte lies das, was ich dir geschrieben habe, genau durch! --Hubertl 20:10, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
Es hatte doch eine Wirkung, der Bot hat nicht auf das Resultat, sondern nur auf den Begriff Promotion reagiert. Ich habe das nun repariert indem ich die Vorlage gelöscht habe. Die Datei ist nun jungfräulich. Sorry, kleine Ursache, große Wirkung. --Hubertl 20:41, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
@Dschwen: Seit dem Desaster mit den über 8000 unkategorisierten QIs auf der Recently Removed-Seite habe ich das Verteilen übernommen. Wenn man Übung hat, geht es ganz flott, soferne man die verfügbaren "Kategorien" im Kopf hat. Ich hätte aber wegen des Abarbeitens einen Wunsch - wenns unproblematisch ist: Die Verteilung der zuvor gewählten Kategorie mit gehaltener Strg-Taste ist super, aber es passiert leider immer wieder, das man ohne zusätzlicher Taste auf ein Bild klickt. Dann ist die bereits durchgeführte Verteilung futsch. Ist mir heute beim 70. Bild passiert. Zwar selten, aber nicht das erste Mal. Könntest du den normalen Klick mit der linken Maustaste auf ein Bild mit dem Öffnen in einem neuen Tab verknüpfen und die Aktion im selben Tab verhindern? Es gibt ein Problem, wenn man "Hide processed images" anklickt. Das kann man aktuell ausprobieren, weil noch 14 Stk. nicht verarbeitet sind. An sich sollten alle weg sein außer diesen 14 . Ist aber gemischt vorhanden. --Hubertl 16:12, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Ok, sollte jetzt erstmal fertig sein. Die Auswahl wird jetzt im Browser abgespeichert. Wenn das Kategorisieren unterbrochen wurde und die Seite neu geladen wird wird die alte Auswahl wiederhergestellt! Dabei werden Bilder, die on-wiki unkategorisiert sind Gelb umrahmt. Falls die Bilder on-wiki mit der gleichen Kategorie versehen sind wie im temporaeren Speicher erhalten sie einen Gruenen Rahmen (wie alle erledigten Bilder). Fall ein Bild jedoch on-wiki mit einer anderen Kategorie gespeichert ist als im tempraeren Speicher (falls jemand anderes inzwischen schon die Seite bearbeitet hat) dann erhaellt das Bild einen Orangenen Rahmen, deine letzte Auswahl wird wieder hergestellt, und die Kategorie, die auf der Seite abgespeichert ist erscheint fett im dropdown menue. --Dschwen (talk) 20:27, 2 April 2016 (UTC)

Wrong geo coordinate after EXIF extraction[edit]

Hello Dschwen, For File:Tours Saint Jacques07 2016-04-29.jpg DschwenBot has added a wrong geoposition, close to but not exactly 1N 1E. Correct object location (from fr.wikipedia) is 45° 45′ 38.73″ N, 6° 04′ 25.48″ E but the copter was ~100m away. Workflow was .DNG --> dcraw --> .TIFF --> hugin --> .JPG --> gimp --> .JPG please tell if I should investigate or upload intermediate files for debugging. Weird. I'll have to look into this. I should probably not write any template if some of the GPS tags are identified as broken. I don't know if hugin preserves the EXIF. Running ubuntu 14.04 LTS, I use hugin and dcraw coming with it. To help diagnosis, I've uploaded a TIFF File:Tours Saint Jacques07 2016-04-19-tiff.tiff (wrong date...) as produced by dcraw. That is before hugin (no use of enblend as single image) in the workflow. After hugin but before gimp it is File:Tours Saint Jacques03 2016-04-29.jpg. Unfortunately one cannot upload DNG, that is the original file format I am using from the Parrot Bebop copter (the JPEG images are too agressively filtered to be useful, see File:Brettheim Hohenloher Ebene01 2015-11-01.jpg for example). -- KlausFoehl (talk) 11:15, 9 May 2016 (UTC)

From revisiting the files from my workflow, and looking at the file pages on commons, it looks to me that after the sequence dcraw hugin all is still fine, but going through gimp 2.8.10 seems to turn the EXIF GPS into something your bot cannot digest. Recently promoted page[edit]

lb Daniel, ich hatte heute einen Bearbeitungskonflikt - nachdem ich alles abgearbeitet habe - und nun den Salat. Das Script schreibt offenbar während des Abarbeitens das Ergebnis in ein temporäres File (welches ich nicht finde), wenn man es nicht abspeichern kann (BK) bleibt es drinnen und ist nicht mehr bearbeitbar. Es ginge zwar händisch, aber es sollte eine Möglichkeit geben, dieses temporäre file zu löschen, damit man dort weitermachen kann, wo man eben scheiterte. Hast du eine Lösung? Auch ist die Liste der zu vergebenden Kategorien für mich (als Nichtprogrammierer) nicht abrufbar. Das sind so die Momente, die viel Zeit kosten. --Hubertl 05:56, 18 May 2016 (UTC)

Eine Lösung wäre, dass der Cache (der offenbar sehr resistent ist) nach dem Speichern auch gleich gelöscht wird. Dann kann man dort weitermachen, wo noch nichts gemacht wurde. Die Liste der Kategorien habe ich inzwischen im QIhelperNews.js gefunden.--Hubertl 06:40, 18 May 2016 (UTC)
Hallo Hubertl! Das mit dem nach dem speichern loeschen ist so eine Sache. Ich schau mal, ob ich das hinkriege. Das script schreibt die Bearbeitungen in den LocalStorage vom browser. Das kannst Du loeschen (welchen browser verwendest Du denn?). Ich muss zugeben, dass ich noch nicht ganz verstehe, was bei einem BK schief gehten kann mit dem script, und warum es dazu fuehrt, dass man nicht weiter arbeiten kann. --Dschwen (talk) 18:48, 19 May 2016 (UTC)
Hm, ich verwende Firefox. Das Problem entstand in dem Moment, dass ich die Bilder abgearbeitet habe, offenbar wurden die Ergebnisse bis zum endgültigen Speichern im LocalStorage gespeichert - dann aber - weil BK - nicht wirklich auf dem Server gesichert. Ich hätte theoretisch die Arbeit des Anderen zuvor einfach überschreiben können, aber das tut man ja nicht. Danach spielte mir eben der LocalStorage einen Streich, indem er so tat als wäre es gespeichert, ich dadurch aber nichts ändern konnte. Im Prinzip hätte ich einfach den Browser wechseln können. Aber wie lösche ich einen LocalStorage? Er hält sich ja nicht einen Tag. Denn am Tag darauf war für mich nichts anderes als am Tag davor. Hallo Dschwen: in der Kategorie Category:Media with GPS EXIF sammeln sich inzwischen 166 Bilder. Ich wüsste einfach gerne, wie es prinzipell weiter geht. Dein Service lief ja lange Phasen ziemlich zuverlässig. Hin und wieder holperte es. Wenn ich wüßte, das du den Service einstellst, würde ich mir ein lokales Script schreiben das die Bilder vor dem Hochladen mit exiftool auswertet und eine Bildbeschreibungsseite erstellt. Hmm. Irgendwie habe ich das auch schon einen Abschnitt darüber angemerkt. Leider sind mittlerweile die vierfache Anzahl Bilder darin. Dabei lief das immer gut. Für die eigenen Bilder habe ich mittlerweile eine eigene Lösung - ein lokaler Bot, der die Aufgabe mit erledigt - gefunden. --XRay talk 15:35, 1 October 2016 (UTC)

QICbot hat am 31. August nicht funktioniert[edit]

Die Bilder wurden zwar aus der QIC-LIste entfernt und archiviert, aber zumindest bei vielen wurde das QI-Template nicht eingetragen, und Nachricht gab es auch nicht. Mittlerweile geht's auch bei mir wieder. Das trat aber immer nur dann auf, wenn er meinte die HighRes-Version laden zu können...

Entschuldige, dass ich nochmal nerve. Aber bei diesem Bild wir auch eine knappe Woche, nach dem ich eine korrigierte Version drüber geladen habe, immer noch die Version mit dem Stitchingfehler im Boden angezeigt. Kann es sein, dass eine einmal erzeugte gekachelte Ansicht einfach nie wieder aktualisiert wird? Falls ja:
  • Kannst Du kurzfristig dafür sorgen, dass die Kacheln von diesem Bild gelöscht werden, damit es updated und ich es endlich für WLM einreichen kann?
  • Kann man mittelfristig irgendeinen Mechanismus einbauen, der manuel oder idealerweise automatisch, den Kachel-Cache löscht, wenn eine neue Version drüber geladen wird?

Weiterentwicklung PanoramaViewer[edit]

Da im Rahmen von WLM2016 in Deutschland einie Panoramen eingereicht wurden habe, ich mal eine kleine Vorlage zur Anbindung des Viewers an die Wikipedia geschrieben. Der Player dürfte also in der de.WP zukünftig immer häufiger eingesetzt werden. Daher wäre es gut, wenn wir neben den oben beschriebenen Problem noch folgendes angehen könnten:

  • Aktuell enthält die Panorama-Anzeige ja weder einen Link zur Bilddetailseite noch eine lizenzgerechte CC-Attribution. Da das strenggenommen ein Lizenzverstoß ist, müsste man zumindest einen Link einbauen - besser wäre eine Info-Leiste wie beim Media-Player.

Gerne kann ich Dich bei diesen Dingen unterstützen. Ich bin in HTML/CSS/JS auch ziemlich sattelfest, habe aber keine Ahnung vom Tools-Server und den MediaWiki-Workflow. Du müsstest mir da also ggf. ein paar Tipps geben. // Martin K. (talk) 09:57, 25 September 2016 (UTC)

Hallo Martin, sorry fuer die spaete Antwort, hier war gerade end-of-fiscal-year crunch time und jetzt sitze ich an einem Flughafen auf dem Weg Frankreich. Du kannst ja mal einen blick in die Pannellum Aneitung werfen (es gibt da bestimmt eine funktion um eine attribution einzublenden). VICbot bug?[edit]

Hi Dschwen. Is VICbot case-insensitive? It removed Commons:Valued_image_candidates/Screenshot_wikiwand.jpg from the candidate list and tagged the file as being promoted again, however AFAICT it has not (yet) been promoted. Commons:Valued_image_candidates/Screenshot_wikiwand.JPG was a different image (it contained an unfree screenshot of Google maps, so was deleted and then redirected to the new upload). @J. It appears that indeed MySQL's LIKE is not case sensitive (unlike Postgres). Would changing this in the cursor.execute call to LIKE BINARY break anything? Storkk (talk) 13:17, 28 September 2016 (UTC)

@Archaeodontosaurus: I may be misunderstanding something (I have a head cold at the moment, and am kind of woolly), but I think the image that was promoted was different - it appears on Commons:Valued_image_candidates/Screenshot_wikiwand.JPG because the .JPG file was deleted and redirected to the new .jpg file. Sorry for the confusion. The original "Screenshot wikiwand.JPG" showed a little map without any google company-logo. I always thought, this derivate work is public domain. But this map was reason for speedy deletion. As a workaround I uploaded "Screenshot wikiwand.jpg" without any map and the admin JuTa restored the old file description. Unfortunately I was not able to use same filename, because "jpg" always was changed to "JPG" by the commons server. Because Natuur12 wrote "You can't just "transfer" the VI-status to a new file."  Whether or not it was correct in this case (and since Archaeodontosaurus is one of the main forces behind VI, I'll defer to him on that), it appears that (unless I am mistaken) because MySQL's LIKE statement is case insensitive, VICbot will promote any image for which there has been a previous promotion if the filenames differ only in capitalization. GeoDaten durch Bot: Möglicherweise sinnfrei[edit]

Der Bot hatte bei einem meiner Bilder Geodaten ergänzt. Nun stellt sich einerseits die Frage, ob man bei einem Objekt-Kamera-Abstand von 150 cm tatsächliche zwei Geodaten braucht. Mehr noch: Durch den - ebenfalls im EXIF - stehenden Hinweis "Measurement precision Poor (3.5)" sollte es sich eigentlich verbieten, diesen Schritt zu gehen. Dadurch wird ein extrem unrealistischer Abjekt-Kamera-Abstand vorgespiegelt und es stellt sich mithin die Frage, welche Angabe die richtige ist.

Meines Erachtens sollte der Bot nur dann Daten einfügen, wenn nicht bereits andere Daten vorhanden sind. Gruss --CEphoto, Uwe Aranas (talk) 06:04, 10 October 2016 (UTC)

Hi, I see your DschwenBot has taken over many of the functions here, that BotMultichillT used to do. I don't suppose there is any chance of fixing en:User:Multichill/Free uploads which used BotMultichillT to separate the free uploads out from the non-free ones. The lists were was very useful is allowing users to examine the free images, check for copyvios, and then add the "move to commons" templates where relevant. Just a page for each day of the free images (i.e. CC and PD) as a gallery - last page was en:User:Multichill/Free uploads/2014-01-03, that gallery was added to en:User:Multichill/Free uploads - only last 7 days as included templates, then older ones as plain links to the day's page - too many images used to cause issues with the page expand (occasionally even with just 7 days). Generosity Crowdfunding Campaign for User:The Photographer[edit]

Please excuse me spamming you, which concerns Generosity Crowdfunding Campaign. My contributions cover the architecture and culture of Brazil and Venezuela. I has basic photographic equipment: an old D300 camera and 35mm lens, and it is very expensive for me to acquire this equipment. I has recently taken several images using the technique where multiple frames are stitched together to create a high-resolution panorama. However, many times frustrated with the stitching errors that result from trying to take such photos without a proper panoramic head for his tripod. This special equipment permits the camera to be rotated around the entrance pupil of the lens, and eliminates such errors. Having a panoramic head would greatly increase the potential for The Photographer to create sharp high-resolution images for Commons. In addition, the purchase of a camera with a fisheye lens would enable 180 × 360° panoramas to be taken, which are a great way to explore a scene as though one is really there.

Images from Brück & Sohn[edit]

Hallo Dschwen, User:Derbrauni und ich haben gemeinsam das Projekt Commons:Brück & Sohn gestemmt. Beim Upload wollte ich das jedes der 30.000 Ansichtskarten eine Geokoordinate mitbekommt. Das sind jeweils die entsprechenden Ortskoordinaten (besser als nix). Da das mit dem XML-Import in den VicuñaUploader leider nicht mit den Geokoordinaten direkt funktionierte, hab ich mit dem Exiftool vor dem Upload aller Bilder die Metadaten mit den Koordinaten angereichert. User:Kolossos hatte mir erzählt das es da einen Bot gibt, der da dann später in Commons die Geokoordinaten-Vorlage daraus erstellt und einfügt. Nun hab ich mir heute das mal genauer angeschaut, warum das nocht nicht passiert ist. Scheinbar fehlt die Vorlage {{GPS EXIF}} damit die Bilder georeferenziert werden. Kannst du deinen Bot außer der Reihe mal die Bilder der Category:Images from Brück & Sohn durcharbeiten lassen, ohne das ich jetzt dort überall diese Vorlage händisch einbauen muss? Das wäre Klasse. Hm, ja, koennte ich. Allerdings ist das nicht so ganz im sinne der Commons Verortung. Man koennte evtl. das {{Object location}} template benutzen. Der bot haette allerdings automatisch kurz nach dem upload die Bilder verarbeiten sollen. Ich schaetze mal, dass das EXIF daten format nicht ganz den Erwartungen des Bots entsprochen hat. --Dschwen (talk) 19:32, 15 December 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I noticed that a faulty image has been causing the bot to fail hard while parsing the EXIF data (unrelated to your uploads), so that effectively the bot has not been geocoding for a while now :-(. I hope I just fixed it. Running now. --Dschwen (talk) 19:45, 15 December 2016 (UTC)

Hmm, scheint als ob der bot die existierenden lat/lon in dezimal templates nicht richtig interpretiert. Der Kommentar sollte nur hinzugefuegt werden, wenn die manuellen Koordinaten nicht mit den EXIF Koordinaten uebereinstimmen. --Dschwen (talk) 19:05, 19 January 2017 (UTC)

QICbot not adding seal to some image[edit]

Hi, I saw two images (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Jal_Mahotsav_Dance.jpg and https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Gas_balloon_Jal_Mahotsav.jpg) got quality image promotions and were added to respective quality image categories, but the seal was not added to the image pages. Kategorie „Media with GPS EXIF“[edit]

Das dein Bot beim Suchen von (aktuellen) Bildern die GPS Daten im EXIF enthalten hier und da Schwierigkeiten hat, ist leicht nachvollziehbar. Letztendlich ist das auch kein Problem, weil man kann ja die Bilder via Vorlage in die Category:Media with GPS EXIF einstellen. Mir persönlich ist es sogar Wurst ob der Bot neue Bilder nach GPS-Daten durchforstet ... die Kategorie reicht mir vollkommen aus.

Seit Monaten beobachte ich die Kategorie. Sie wird nie vollständig abgearbeitet. Als Minimum habe ich so etwa 180 Bilder gesehen. Als Maximum so etwa 350. Häufig sind auch meine Bilder dabei, die sehr lange auf eine Abarbeitung warten. Z.B. steht File:Treis an der Lumda - Hohlstraße - Spielplatz (0001).JPG seit 12. Feb in der Schlange. [10]. Ich habe hier als Beispiel einen Grenzstein genommen, da hier die Verortung besonders Sinn macht.

In der Kategorie sind viele Bilder von mir ... aber natürlich auch von anderen. Ich erwähne hier kurz eine techn. Besonderheit meiner Bilder - vielleicht bricht der Bot ja ab wenn er auf die Besonderheit trifft. Die meisten meiner Bilder sind mit einem GPS-Maschinchen verortet. Damit gebe ich dem Leser/Betrachter metergenau preis, wo ich war. Das GPS-Maschinchen logt daneben noch die Zeit mit. Und ich möchte dem Leser/Betrachter neben der exakten Ortsangabe keine exakte Zeit nennen, an der ich das Foto gemacht habe. Deshalb lasse ich vor dem Hochladen meist zwei exiftool-Befehle über das Bild laufen:

exiftool -'gps:gpsdatestamp=' -'gps:gpstimestamp=' "${Bild}"
und
exiftool -alldates= "${Bild}"

Ich bin auch davon ausgegangen, das das Löschen der Zeitstempel für deinen Bot kein Problem ist. Aber manchmal sind Ursachen für Fehler halt ungewöhnlich.
Mir persönlich würde es völlig ausreichen, wenn der Bot (fürs Verorten) nur noch Bilder der Kategorie Category:Media with GPS EXIF abarbeiten würde. Sollte das Deguggen und die Kommunikation über das Verhalten des Bots wesentlich vereinfachen (wenn jamand sagt „in der Kategorie sind 200 Bilder unbearbeitet“ läßt sich das binnen Sekunden überprüfen).

Sehr gut! die Category:Media with GPS EXIF ist nun abgearbeitet. Hilft mir sehr. Z.B. sind in Category:Allerburg (Dautphetal) (mögi. Reste einer alten Burg) nun alle verortet ... dadurch kann die Ruinen mit Berggipeln, alten Wällen, Türmen die ebenfalls verortet sind in Realtion setzen. Location template added when already in place via transclusion[edit]

Hi, ich habe eben festgestellt, dass User:DschwenBot das Location-Template aus EXIF-Daten hinzufügt, auch wenn genau das Template bereits über ein anderes Template eingebunden ist. Beispiel hier. Hm, warum hast Du denn das Location template in Deinem UserInfoTemplate ueberhaupt drin? Du solltest Dich eigentlich nicht um Location kuemmern muessen, dafuer gibt es ja den Bot. Ehrlich gesagt kannte ich die Automatisierung nicht — das ist mir jetzt das erste Mal aufgefallen. Ich hätte auch erwartet, dass das bei mehr als nur einem der Bilder auftritt. Panellum[edit]

Hallo Daniel, irgendwie scheint bei Panellum ein Problem darin zu liegen, dass auch nach dem Upload einer neuen Version einer Datei im 360°-Viewer immer nur die alte angezeigt wird. Kann es sein, dass das ein Cache-Problem ist? Beispiel hier: File:Kloster Paulinzella, Thüringen, 360x180, 170316, ako (1).jpg. Lässt sich das irgendwie lösen? Verhinderung der GeoDaten bei Studiophotos[edit]

der bot legt auch dann zwangweise GeoDaten an, wenn das Photo im Studio (Deutschland) entstanden ist und aus diesem Grund Geodaten (Produkt: Tee aus Sichuan) eher irreführend sind. @Kpalion: I'm puzzled as why you insist on uploading images with broken metadata. Or do you want to keep the location secret? If so why don;t you scrub the location from the images. Blocking the bot is fixing a symptom, not a cause. People who download your images still see the broken/secret location in their image viewers. Future versions of the software might display the location directly from the metadata. Some other user might work on a bot to extract the geodata, and his/her bot won't be on your block list. Will you just block ``all`` bots from editing ``your`` files? That would throw quite a wrench in our maintenance processes. --Dschwen (talk) 14:35, 14 June 2017 (UTC)
@Dschwen:, I must admit I don't know how to scrub the location from my images. I only know the metadata is wrong; for some reason my camera doesn't always update the location correctly. Pterostylis ventricosa[edit]

In the case of Pterostylis ventricosa (and possibly some others) it would be better if coords were not included as this species is critically endangered, partly because of illegal collecting. Certainly, determined collectors can find GPS coordinates in other ways, but to have them advertised in Wikipedia may not be such a great idea. Your decision. All the best to you. Adding feature to QICbot to add promoted image to user's QI category[edit]

Many users, particularly ones with many QIs, have their own categories containing their promoted images, though to my knowledge QICbot does not currently add promoted images to these categories automatically. This seems like this would be a beneficial feature to add to the bot, though from your knowledge would this have any adverse effects? It seemed like a good idea to me, so I wrote a function in python to automate this task. The code is rough, and would obviously need to have parts of it rewritten and integrated with the source code before being added to bot if it is a good idea, but it shows the general concept:

Hi Dschwen. Unfortunately, not many replies were received to my question regarding Magnus Manske's Usual Suspects/Bad Old Ones. Your bot creates a few daily categories such as Category:Media_missing_permission_as_of_21_June_2017 which include {{UnknownHeader}}'s exhortation to use "Bad Old Ones", but it appears the tool is broken or its correct usage is so obscure that the currently active administrators here don't know how to use it. If it is just my understanding that is faulty, I'd love to know how this tool works, but if as I suspect it has been broken for a long time, could you please create the daily categories without {{UnknownHeader}}?   • @Storkk: The tool is working now, the bug came from a bad conversion of the spaces of the name pages when converted in URL, I replaced PAGENAMEE by BASEPAGENAMEE in {{Delete assist}}, the result is the link of {{UnknownHeader}} is now working well. Example in Category:Media_missing_permission_as_of_21_June_2017 click on the tool and then click on Bad Boys on or Bad Old Ones, you will have the results expected by the builder, I think. With the Bad Old Ones link don't be afraid by the first lines and go at the bottom of the page. Der Bot hat am 23. Juni das letzte mal den Editkommentar „(creating {{Location}} from EXIF data, please visit Commons:Geocoding for further information)“ gesetzt. Ich halte es übrigens für völlig ausreichend, wenn der Bot nicht alle Neueingänge nach Geodaten im EXIF durchsucht sonderen nur Category:Media with GPS EXIF abarbeitet. Ich habe am 13.07. per template den DschwenBot für [14] angefordert, scheint aber bisher nicht geklappt zu haben. -- DorisAntony (talk) 08:24, 26 September 2017 (UTC)

Kein Einzelfall. DschwenBot scheint wohl seit geraumer Zeit nicht mehr zu funktionieren. Aktuell sind 623 Dateien in Category:Media with GPS EXIF. --Hasenläufer 23:05, 29 September 2017 (UTC)

Ich hätte zu der Thematik auch noch was beizutragen: Wenn die Canon Mark IV kein Signal oder nur sporadische Signal für das GPS hatte, werden ggf. falsche Koordinaten produziert. Die von mir händisch eingetragenen Koordinaten des Objekts sind deshalb in der Regel die besseren. Es wäre sinnvoll, wenn der Bot - sofern bereits Koordinaten vorhanden sind - keine weiteren Daten automatisiert nachträgt. Man kann das zwar mit DenyBot verhindern, aber ich denke da auch nicht immer dran, dieses Template einzubauen. --CEphoto, Uwe Aranas (talk) 12:20, 5 October 2017 (UTC)

Jo, das stimmt. Es ist aber nicht unbedingt ein Zeichen von Unhoeflichkeit, wenn ich mal nicht antworte. Ich kann Dir gerne privat emailen was ich so IRL um die Ohren habe (Kostprobe: ein neues Baby im Haus). Ich bitte darum um etwas Nachsicht, wenn ich nicht alle Nachrichten auf meiner Talkpage in angemessener Zeit beantworte. Die Vorschlags-Kommentare sind nun abgeschaltet. Nightflyer, dem ersten Bild hat der Bot Koordinaten im Flughafenterminal von Charlotte in den USA zugewiesen. Das sieht nicht wie ein zufaelliger Fehler aus. Meine Vermutung ist, dass der Download des Bildes fehlgeschlagen ist und die Koordinaten des letzten verarbeiteten Bildes verwendet wurden. Ich werde einen check in den Bot einbauen um solche Faelle zu vermeiden. Sorry, den Fall habe ich so noch nicht gesehen. --Dschwen (talk) 16:09, 21 October 2017 (UTC)

Yeah, I know what is going on. The old authentication has been deprecated for a while and there are some administrative holdups to migrating to the new OAuth based authentication. Ok, Dr-Mx, that logic has been in the code all along. However there was a bug where the processing script would refuse to create the new tiles if the old tiles already exist. Image promoted as a Quality image (see my Talk Page) but not categorized as a quality image, why ?[edit]

This file :

was promoted as a Quality image the 14th May 2018, see here, the last one and there.

The robot add it on my Talk page, nr 43 too.

But at the page of the file, nothing appears to notice that it is a Quality image ?

There is no Template Quality image.

Can someone resolve this problem ?

Maybe the problem comes from the robot ?
