Summary[edit]

Description
English: Filtering for movement artifacts using the Intravital_Microscopy_Toolbox improves our ability to visualize fine movements of microglial processes in the mouse brain cortex. The original video (left panel) is compared with videos processed by either Kalman filtering (center panel) or Kalman filtering and x–y transformation using JavaSIFT (right panel). The dashed-line circle marks a blood vessel to better visualize the movement of the object during the imaging period. Microglial cells were pseudo-colored in white based on GFP expression in the Thy1-eCFP; CX3CR1-eGFP transgenic mouse.
