A bandsaw will cut just about anything you put through it. May I suggest that you don't cut up the robot in the process ;) Check this...

Here is a pic of how I picture it mounted to the front. The router will be attached to the effector plate perpendicular to the work piece....

Yes Gray .....REALLY :p It will surely take some firmware work but why not??? I just make the original Z axis into the X and then slide...
