Anyone have any input on these boards? http://www.aquickcnc.com/store/electronics/3-axis-unipolar-cnc-controller/. Any good? Thanks
I have not tried this board but take note is is for 5, 6 or 8 wire unipolar stepper motors (4 wire type not compatible) You will need a bipolar diver for 4 wire steppers.
Ok just want to be sure It would stink to buy this board only to find out it may not work with the motors you have. Maybe one of the other guys here have used it and can help out a little more. Let us know how you make out if you do get it please.
Just a general observation but most of the commonly available, well priced, NEMA23’s seem to be of the 4 wire bipolar type. Perhaps it may be worth looking to see if you can obtain (assuming you don't have them already) the suitable 5, 6, or 8 wire unipolar motors at a reasonable price before committing to this controller. Tweakie.
Looks like the controller would be worth trying then - certainly a reasonable price. If you decide on that controller and assemble it yourself please let us know how it all goes. Tweakie.
