supplier for custom MXL belt lengths?

Is there anyone that can make custom lengths of timing belts? I want to get a 1/4" MXL belt with a 64" loop. I am starting to accumulate parts and hope to build a Buildlog 2X laser cutter/engraver. The original parts list had the timing belts sourced from Econobelts - well, about a week ago they apparently stopped selling all timing belts. What timing!
Some of the supplies I will be able to get on this site.

OK, nothing here I guess, on the question above.

So, if custom length MXL belts, or at least one 64" long is out of the question, would a same length XL or GT2 belt (with appropriately sized pulleys) be an acceptable substitute?

You will really only effect your max resolution with different pulleys and belts, compensation is made in micro stepping settings see the reprap calculator for a good mix to accomplish the desired micron res

Thank you for the reply. This belt I've learned is to control the bed height, so I should be able to adapt the design to work with a different sized loop belt.

Unless SPD/SI will weld up custom lengths, the size needed is not in their current catalog or website.

I have found a place to get the belt size I need but they are out of MXL stock right now, and the backlog may be about two months. There is also a 7 belt minmum order, but at the price quoted it is still reasonable. It is D&D Power Drive. Once they come back in stock they said they would contact me, so I will report back on the results later, hopefully positive.
