Thanks for posting/sharing this project. I was checking out the Parts list and was wondering what size servo is utilized (small, medium, large)? I was not able to find the servo part spec in the list. Regards, -Will
Hi Will sorry about that, I am using a little micro servo from one of my rc planes All the micros servos are about the same size Its a Hextronik HXT900 - 9g Micro Servo http://www.servodatabase.com/servo/hextronik/hxt900 You can get them here http://www.ebay.co.uk/bhp/hxt900-servo
Excellent, I have those laying around. Kind of bummed that I could have purchased the Sparkfun EiBotBoard for 50% off on CyberMonday but at the time didn't see how that fit into the grand scheme of things. Now that this resource is around, I'm seriously considering picking up the board just to have my own V-Slot EggBot.
me too now that I know, dang it! I use that board for lots of cool projects. So having one one hand may be a good idea for the future
Laser V Bot sounds good to me little pin mod to add servo control to the driverboard should work nice
Well since I'm locked up due to weather, I figured I would slap together the prototype of you guessed it "Laser Bot" Sneak peak before the build log
AWESOME!!! You know you have to make this a post to its own. This is super cool! Great job @Robert Hummel Can't wait to see this in action
And the idea's keep on coming !! Fantastic for just throwing something together !! Lets see it in working mode
TY! I'm wiring it now for a test run. Waiting on other items for Laser V before I can complete it. I designed the parts 2 days ago and then spent 2 days milling and test fitting everything. This is a gift for my 6 year old, she can't wait
