ILI9341 Touch connector

ILI9341 connector for 14 pads + 4 pads for touch, broken out to 14 connector pins using a touch controller. It is a clone of the PCB for this screen but without the SD card and the PCB is much smaller making it useful when you have very little room to mount it. The screen itself is available separately here To build this you need a couple of resistors and ceramic capacitors as well as an RT9169 and a touch controller. I used solder paste etc for the smd parts but I hand soldered the screen. It is fiddly work but I don’t think it is a good idea to put the screen through an oven or hot plate. Be careful when soldering the screen to the board. The connections are very fine and, when soldered, rather fragile. Make sure you stick the board and screen together somehow, such as double sided tape, to prevent strain on the connection. It is important to get the screen connection around the right way. ESP8266-01 RemoteButton

The board holds through hole connections for an ESP8266-01 and breakouts for an FDTI, VCC and GND. It is small enough to solder the ESP to and still leaves the ability to plug in an FDTI to reflash. There’s a jumper for GPIO0 and it uses the DTR from the FDTI to pull RST low. You can power the ESP from the FDTI by putting a jumper on JPVCC but the FDTI won’t provide enough power to actually run the ESP after flashing. The ‘Switch’ breakout uses CH_PD. Connect an n/o switch to this and the ESP can detect it. More detail at https://github.com/RogerParkinson/ESP8266-automation
