SSR with RJ connector and optional ZCD daughter board

Isolated solid state relay. Apply 3-5 volts across SSR and GND pins to turn on relay. Control wires broken out into an RJ style connector (phone or ethernet cable). Built in strain relief on the power side.

When used with a large enough heat sink (largest of the R series from Ohmite), this SSR can handle 20 amps at 120 volts AC.

With optional ZCD daughter board a 1ms active low pulse centered around the zero cross is sent out over the ZCD wire. Vcc and ZCD pins have to be connected only when using ZCD.

5V/12V Optical Speed Sensor

Uses an Optek reflective sensor to detect light/dark transitions, presumably stripes on a wheel. Output is filtered through a schmitt trigger. Supply it with voltage as indicated and get TTL compatible output.

Where a value contains a “/” the number preceding the “/” is to be used when powered with 5V and the number following the “/” is to be used when powered with 12V.

Output current should be kept less than 35mA with 5V supply or 10mA with 12V supply. In either case the output voltage will remain within TTL standards (2.8V – 5V for HIGH condition).
