Atlas Shield is a multiplexer board for Atlas Scientific embedded sensor circuits, designed as an Arduino-compatible shield. Design, documentation and firmware on GitHub.

This board requires a 74HC4052 serial/analog mux/demux chip in 16-pin DIP packaging. These used to be available from SparkFun, but have been discontinued. They can be purchased from Digi-Key (Digi-Key part number 568-1457-5-ND) for about $1.21 for quantities less than ten.

To attach the Atlas shield to an Arduino board, you’ll need some headers. Some options are :

You can either solder the Atlas sensor boards to the shield, or you can mount them in headers. If you want to use headers, you will need eight three pin female headers.
