I have several times looked to purchase parts for a CNC router. And it always seems to be out of stock. Is there any word on when 2040 and 2080 in 1meter pieces will be available?

    Hi Nick,
Thank you for your interest in using V-Slot for your build. We apologize for the low stock at the moment but you will be happy to know that we are working on the next production run as well as coordinating this run with V-Slot distributors. It may be that there is a distributor local to you who may have some of the stock you are looking for as well. Please check the distributors map http://openbuildspartstore.com/openbuilds-distributors/

I'll echo Frank's question: when do you think you will re-stock V-Slots?

    Hi,
When I go to openbuilds-distributors all I get is a blank page. Is there any in California?
    Thanks

Hello guys. Thank you for your questions. We apologize that we are currently out of stock on some of the V-Slot. We are working hard to get all sizes back in stock as quickly as possible. It is, however, still going to be a few weeks. In the meantime, you may want to check with a local distributor: http://openbuildspartstore.com/openbuilds-distributors/
In California, there are a couple of distributors - Deezmaker & Monkeypad.com are listed on the distributor map in California.
    Hope this helps!
    Thank you,
    Openbuilds Team

We have had some problems with our shipping calculator. I apologize for the problems. If you email me what you would like to order I will make sure you get the correct shipping.

I just talked with James Zatopa of www.zatopa.com, it seems that his websites shipping estimator is not working correctly. His UPS ground shipping rates are very reasonable and he has v-slot all sizes in stock. He welcomes the business but ask that you phone in or email your orders until he can correct the problem on his website.

Edit: Did not see his post above. When emailing, if you provide your PayPal name he will create an invoice that will trigger your PayPal account to prompt you for payment.

    Man!
    James is on the ball.
Approved a PayPal payment an hour ago, already have a tracking number and the UPS has the package.
    Now that's service.

How do you get ahold of someone from Zatopa? I have sent then two emails in the last two days and haven't heard back.
    Thanks

He is a little slow at responding to emails. I think he may be working another job and this is a secondary business. May explain whe he does not have a phone number listed. After I emailed my order it took a day for him to respond with a quote. I transfered funds and the order was dropped off at UPS an hour later. It is scheduled to be delivered this Friday here in Florida. Not bad considerering his slow response to emails. I recommend a little patients, and an occasional email and you should hear from him shortly.
Maybe you can ask for an acknowledgement email that he has received your order and is working on a quote.
This is based on my experience and lots of speculation.

I just sent a couple emails myself, requesting he respond to your inquiry. His lack of response does not fare well for his business.

Woodie, Wrdutcher informed me that you were trying to get a hold of me. I haven't received any emails in my inbox or spam folder. Are you sending the emails to jzatopa@zatopa.com or using the contact box on my site? I'm sending you a PM in case there is still some problem communicating.

I sent email using both. He may be having trouble with his site email. I would suggest sending directly to
jzatopa@zatopa.com using your email handler. That way it will tell you if your message was undeliverable.

That is correct if you are emailing but if you are in a forum it's always that the newest posting is last. In all the forums that I've been on!

Any ETA on Stock Im in the UK cant get any V-Slot locally Im rapidly loosing my enthusiasm for V-slot, availability is horrible on all rail maker products here :( . I wanted to build all my projects with it but cant get any was going to double up my order but there is none anywhere .

Seriously considering giving my local aluminium extrusion manufacturer a bell to see how much the minimum order quantity would be to get it made. expect they will want a eye watering amount.

Hi @morebread welcome to OpenBuilds :)
We apologize for the delay in your build and want you to know that to the best of our ability this will not happen again. OpenBuilds and its distributors have a large production run in the works of V-Slot (version 2) and OpenRail with a timely reproduction schedule that will ensure maintaining future stock levels. At this time we have an ETA of a few weeks so hold on for a little bit long and it will be available with plenty more to follow.
Thank you for your patience and understanding as we grow

    Hello @Rick 2.0
V-Slot v2 incorporates a new tool that helps with strength as well as anodizing. We have been working with our extrusion company to create a new tool/set of dies that removes the holes from the four corners of the profile as to to help reduce anodizing issues and increase strength. This is working well and has actually been though testing an out in the wild for a little while now. There are a few other tweaks as well that will be outlined in a news post on the Part Store soon.
We are always working to better ensure a high quality product and we feel these changes will make V-Slot even better!
