This board will take a Cypress Semi CY7C65213 USB UART and a MAX3243ECRHBR RS-232 level converter. The Cypress Semi part uses USB class drivers built-in to the OS, so there’s no opportunity for vendor driver shenanigans like “FTDI-gate.”

Uses the same firmware as the Tiny Blinky. Mount it on a dowel and twirl it between your hands and watch the lights trace out POV patterns.
This version moves the battery inwards slightly to try and improve the balance, and moves the LEDs closer together to make better patterns.
