Advantech Wireless has released a new line of S-Band GaN-based 10 kW modular high power amplifiers.
The APRA series.are modular Solid State Pulsed Amplifiers (SSPA’s) that operate over the band from 2.9 - 3.1 GHz (Model APRA-S10000B) or 2.7 - 2.9 GHz (Model APRA-S10000A). The new line of GaN-based Pulsed Amplifiers are designed to replace up to 2 MW Magnetrons with higher reliability and built-in redundancy at a fraction of the cost.
Gallium Nitride (GaN) solid-state technology is ideally suited for mobile, tactical RADAR applications. Advantech’s solid-state amplifier designs are based on a modular architecture with hot-swappable RF and power supply modules allowing for virtually no downtime. To know more, click here.
