The SKY12239-11 from Skyworks is a voltage-controlled variable attenuator (VVA) that operates from 10 MHz to 1.5 GHz. This VVA has an attenuation range of 33 dB and a control voltage range from 1-5V. It low insertion loss for improved transceiver efficiency, high IP3 of +50 dBm and ultra-low distortion for low noise transceiver applications. This attenuator consists of four matched PIN diodes that are biased using an external control voltage signal. The attenuator requires no external components. It is available in a 8-pin MCM package that measures 3.8 x 3.8 x 1 mm and is ideal for general wireless systems including WiMAX, LTE, WCDMA, VSAT and military communications.
