The OpenBuilds team has redefined the belt and pinion concept. By using standard OpenBuild components were able to improve on this system in ways that will save on cost and enhance its engineering capabilities.

Although this build is typically Mach3 related there is no reason it cannot be adapted for use with any machine control software which provides a PWM spindle control output. As an addition, an option has now been added which will enable the interface to manually control outrunner speed without the need for a PWM signal.

I have been looking for a good solid kit to build off of for some time and when I saw the Ox buildlog I knew I had to have one. Ordered most of the pieces from Open Builds and started planning. Had a nice gentleman named Chris cut the required plates from 6061 aluminum for me (he sells them on eBay now if you're interested) and got to work.

A work in progress. working to refine the print head/carriage to integrate a bed level probe directly into the print head.

Frog CNC Router. Inspired by OX and "Routy". Models provided in SolidWorks 2010 format. Currently 24" by 36" working area.

Base is a Delta Kossel Printer modified to be build with openbuild parts like vslot 20x40 , pulley .... It inclued the latest modification for auto level : FSR

I have wanted a 3D printer for a while. I had thought to convert my ShapeOko machine to a 3D printer BUT after looking at having to replace the electronics with new and the small form factor. I went looking for a kit which would do what I want. Well I found it. It is the MakerFarm i3v printer.

Here is my Project A CNC 3000 mm by 1500 mm, with a 2.2kW spindle collet ER25 and 4 stepper motor nema 23 425oz-in. The purpose being to have a large work surface for a minimum cost.

The method used for tool position setting is a matter of personal choice but this is what I do.

Drag knife and pen holder which mounts in spindle collet.

Optical home and limit switches for cnc, 3D printers, laser cutters, etc.
